A New Project Presented

We have just presented to councilor Cinzia Speroni of the Municipality of Trevi a new project, located within the wider Durastante Natalucci initiative. The project, which represent an expansion of the work published on the history of truffle last year, will explore six historic production of the town's territory: wine, olive oil, celery, saffron, chestnut and an update on truffle. Based on a vast exploration of local archival heritage, most of the data supporting the project are unpublished and represent a completely innovative point of view on local history. The book is meant to represent a milestone in the affirmation and recognition of local quality agriculture, with potential benefits for producers and to make Trevi a cornerstone in Umbrian gastronomy tourism. The project - which will now await funding - would be presented as a book: the second volume of the 'Produzioni Trevane' collection. The project is presented in cooperation with our longstanding partner Associazione Pro Trevi, and will receive the sponsorship of the local SlowFood group.
